My First Art Show ;-)

Wow! Just realized it’s been quite a while since my last post! I have been painting a lot over the past year and I am very proud and grateful to announce that I just had my very first solo art show! The show is up for the entire month of March 2016 at Iti Wine Bar in Hanalei, HI. I had a great turn out for the opening on March 12th and even made a few sales!

This show was a collection of imaginative and introspective self portraits in acrylic on canvas and wood panel.

My paintings attempt to capture my deeply personal experiences with life and all its joys, sorrows and powerful lessons. It is my intention, with my art, to get in touch with my emotions, to value my heart’s silent wisdom and to be more present in every  moment. I hope my paintings may inspire others to do the same. Do not fear heart break, for it will draw you closer to the Heart of Love.

Below are all the paintings in the show. Prints and some originals still available. Please email me at: for price list.

New Inspiration…

Lovers: Acrylic on Canvas
Lovers: Acrylic on Canvas

Here is my latest completed painting, Lovers, done in acrylic paint on canvas. This was inspired by a trip I took to Kalalau Valley with my partner on my home island of Kaua‘i last year. This was a very special time for me as it was the beginning of a budding romance and a time of falling in love not only with my new partner but with the world and with myself and the beautiful life I am so thankful to be living.

Kalalau is a very magical and inspiring place. A 12-mile hike or boat trip is the only way to get there as there are no roads on that side of the island. The natural beauty and strong ‘mana’ of the valley has touched the hearts of many who love and return year after year to bask in the glorious simplicity of just being with the land and the sea.

The mandala of light design surrounding the figures in greens and yellows represents the divinity that we all share when we are in a space of pure love. I believe that the trees, oceans and animals are always in this state and there is much we can learn from just observing them.

Thanks for checking out my post. Please let me know what you think! Aloha!
